Since 1989, most of the SMNG vessels have been operating in the western market under agreements with BGR, CGG, VeritasDGC, WesternGeco, LASMO, Total FinaElf, Petrobras, ONGS, TGS and other companies. SMNG carries out programs for the Russian companies (Gazflot, Rosneft, Lukoil, Sevmorneftegaz, Severneftegaz, Arktikshelfnefegaz, Sintezneftegaz) in the Russian Arctic Seas, Azov, Black and Caspian Seas and Federal programs for the Ministry of Natural Recourses of the Russian Federation.
SMNG has the experience to perform marine seismic data acquisition in a wide range of challenging marine environments. SMNG has operated in the Russian Arctic Seas, in the North Sea, the Atlantic and Indian Ocean, offshore West Africa, Spitsbergen, the Falkland Islands, Cuba, offshore Brazil, Canada, Venezuela and Vietnam, the Mediterranean Sea, the Gulf of Mexico, the Irish continental Shelf, the Black, Azov and Caspian Seas.
In 2009 six SMNG vessels equipped with the latest technology in source, streamer and recording system operated worldwide.
