Navigator

Job location:

Offshore-Global onboard SMNG vessels.

Job Description / Duties:

On board a seismic vessel, you will participate in the real time positioning of the vessel and calculates final coordinates of the seismic source and the acquisition equipment. Navigator is responsible for complete accurate setup and navigation acquisition systems and subsystems onboard vessel. Monitoring all positioning aspects and the recording of navigation data. Controlling of the navigation data quality and processing of navigation data. Integrated Navigation System SPECTRA by Concept is used for managing of 2D/3D surveys.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 2 years previous experience as a Marine Seismic Navigator
• Knowledge of Integrated Navigation System SPECTRA (2D/3D) and SPRINT software (2D/3D)
• Knowledge of navigation data quality assurance and quality control methods

Operating mode:

Must be able to work offshore for extended periods of time (rotations are currently 3 months offshore/3 months leave).
